December 10 – Morning drive

We put 28 miles a day driving Cody to school. This week we’ve also been driving Cole as it’s been too cold to bike.

Working from home has its perks! The neighbors decided that since Wade was usually home, he could use their Deere and shovel everyone’s driveway before they got home in the evening. Well, it finally snowed. Note the green van that needs selling in the background. I’ll let it go cheap…anyone? anyone?
(FYI- Why yes, you are correct that Wade has owned that jacket since 1994.)

The snow was so wet and heavy, we had to shovel off the deck to keep it from possible collapse. Almost 20 inches between Tuesday night and Thursday.

School was canceled today as it snowed and snowed and snowed.

Of course, the day after I put up a picture of a snowman tchotchke in the sun, it snows.
Although it didn’t snow today, the cold weather and wind kept us from heading north to ski. It did not keep some neighborhood kids from using all the snow in their yard to create this masterpiece!
Yesterday, the whopper arrived – the biggest storm all winter. It was icy, Fort Collins got over a foot in snow, and they sent the kids home at 11am. Today was a “snow day”.
Looks rough out, doesn’t it?
Who left the screen door open?
Taken from the top of winter Park with my cell phone. I didn’t bring my camera skiing. Cole & I skied from 9 until 4pm and only hit the base of the mountain twice.
It was warm and sunny and busy for Winter Park, 9000 people. Half of Fort Collins was on the mountain that day – we rode the chairlift with 4 different groups from town. (The rest were from Texas.)
Long day at the YMCA of the Rockies, Snow Mountain Ranch tubing hill.
