February 10 – Disco Ball

Groovy ceiling at this hotel.

Beautiful day for a visit to the John & Mary Pappajohn Sculpture Park.

Just one of the many games at the school’s Fall Festival.
Wade came running in the house saying, “Get your camera and come outside. The sun set is totally awesome tonight”. So I did.
When I pulled up the pictures online, I saw the deer standing on the ridge watching.
Click to enlarge the picture if you’re having trouble seeing them.

It was dead still after we dropped Cody off at school and headed to the Riverbend Ponds Natural Area.
The morning sun was bright and the clouds to the west make this picture look as though I had run it through the tiltshiftmaker.
I didn’t.
Further along where the trail follows the Poudre River, we happened upon a couple of mink (I checked the CO DNR site to be sure) playing. I wish I could have been fast enough to get a picture. Mink are not something you see everyday.

I was up early to catch a flight.
The sun was setting on our brief walk around the neighborhood. (It was brief because my calves are still aching from skiing yesterday.)
There are homes behind the tree, but I found that if I got down low on the ground, I could angle them out of the shot.
I pulled up to a stoplight in Loveland and although it was only 33 degrees, the snow was already melting off the streets. I took a few quick pictures of the snow sliding off the back of this sign, then before my window was up, the snow had fallen.
70 degrees today. Somebody thinks it’s spring.
Down to the teens and snow by the weekend.
