My son thought it was pretty lame to put in a picture of our backyard.
My defense: We spent weeks, months contemplating our move to Fort Collins. We wanted to rent a house while we got a feel for a permanent neighborhood and could not have found a more perfect location. The people are friendly, there are other pre-teen boys on the street, we back open space, hiking trails and a lake(!) and the views are wonderful. The houses, the open space and the CSU Equine facility in the background are part of that neighborhood…part of that view.
When I spent a summer in Ecuador, I took a picture each week of the same view from my window of the mountains and farms.
I appreciate a good landscape.
